Type of files you want to receive
In most cases jpeg is good enough to get a proper print of any size but if you want to use tiff for some of your bigger sizes files or for any other reason you can do it. Remember, that tiff is much heavier and it takes longer to download it.
fill-out or fit-in
Fit-in gets the whole image into your size. With Fill-out you fill the size with the image and therefore if ratio of the image is not the same as the size ratio you loose part of the image. It's not only that and you can make some magic with this settings. Take a look at full description lower on the page

  4. Here you can specify wether you want to use Digital Saturation Correction or not. According to your choice Frontier printer will or will not improve colours for this product.
  5. White Border setting allows you to create images with or without white borders and send this information to your Frontier printer.
  6. Your clients have to specify the media and the size for the product they want. Check and tick “Lab main product” checkbox and this product will be shown by default in Standard Printing Ordering Interface.
  7. You should have at list one price for your product but you can also specify discounts for a bigger number of copies. To add a new price just click on an empty row.
  8. In most cases JPEG is good enough to get a proper print of any size but if you want to use TIFF for some of your bigger size files or for any other reason, you can do it. Remember, that TIFF is much heavier and it takes longer to be downloaded.
  9. Generally speaking, Fit-in gets the whole image into your size and Fill-out fills the size with the image. Therefore, if the ratio of the image is not the same as the size ratio, you lose part of the image.
    1. We have different types of interface and this setting works differently in them:

      Conventional (standard) Printing Order interface

It allows your customers to select between Fit-in and Fill-out when they place their order.
To make it possible you have to create a separate product for every possible combination of the settings. Eg. 10 x 15 Fit-in and 10 x 15 Fill-out (more info)

      Compositions and Visualization Order interface

Playing with this setting you can cover a wide range of possibilities to offer your customers and simplify your workflow.
      If you select Fill-out:

      1. It fills the size with the image.
      2. It doesn’t allow to scale the image smaller than the chosen product size.
      3. It allows only 90 degrees rotations of the image.
      4. The user can upload only one image for the product.

Use Fill-out in case you don’t want your customers to put more than one image on a board print (E.g. canvas) and want to be sure that customer’s picture covers the whole of the board area.

      If you select Fit-in:

      1. It fits the whole image into the size
      2. It allows to add more than one image to the product.
      3. It allows free image rotation and scaling.

Use Fit-in if you want to allow people to create collages for the posters or greeting cards.

  10. Default product is meant for Conventional(standard) order interface only. When you have a number of products with different settings for the same size, you can say which one should go first.

    Combinations

For example, on 10 x 15 paper size you can create 4 different combinations of instructions/parameters how to print the received image.

You can use this setting to choose which of the combinations has higher priority and should be shown first to your customer.

  11. You can allow your clients to add text to their images. Works only for Compositions and Visualisation order interface.
  12. Allow people to leave comments on the product which is being ordered. You will receive their comments in the order notification.
  13. All sizes have portrait orientation by default. If you want to present a product in landscape view, tick this check-box.
  14. Use this field to describe your product if you want. This field supports HTML.  The text will be shown to your customers when they order the product.
  15. You can add a template to a product. Remember that the size of the product and the template for the product have to be of the same aspect ratio. Read more about how to work with templates
